Things to do

Our out-of-town patients find it easy to turn their visit into a relaxing mini-vacation. We have compiled the following information on lodging, transportation and restaurants in the immediate area. We look forward to seeing you. If you have special questions about your plans, feel free to contact our Practice Manager.

Falmouth
Women to Women is located in Falmouth, this northern suburb of Portland borders Casco Bay and offers one of the largest anchorages in Maine. Activities include shopping at the many diverse stores on Route 1, Hiking Trails, and enjoying the picturesque harbor.

Freeport
For those of you who enjoy shopping, we would recommend a trip to Freeport. Freeport is the home of LL Bean, and the center of one of America’s largest “discount towns,” with scores of outlet stores for famous brands. Freeport is just 15 minutes north of Falmouth.

Historic Portland
Being a seacoast city, Portland has much to offer, both culturally and historically. The Old Port, the restored waterfront district of Portland, offers unique shopping and numerous restaurants, as well as a view of an active waterfront fishing community.

The Maine Mall
Located just blocks from the Portland airport is the Maine Mall, the largest mall in the state, surrounded by dozens of other stores. The Mall is in South Portland, about 15-20 minutes south of the Healthcare Center in Falmouth.
